In a recent announcement ANZ have revised their policy which allows brokers to conduct interviews using Skype rather than face to face, where at least one of the applicants is an existing ANZ customer (not necessarily a mortgage customer). This is a great step forward and we hope that this will be extended to all customers in the near future.

Otherwise we need to arrange a meeting and as such this can create issues and delays.  Obviously it also involves additional costs for us and this must be reflected in any rebate that we an  offer.

ANZ have some nice products and they generally rate higher than the other majors in customer service ratings.  Unlike the other majors they actually encourage branch co-operation rather than being in competition with your mortgage broker and this means that you should experience a better outcome.
